What we hold
The four things this academy is built on. They are read out in the first week and they stay on the wall all year.
We do meaningful work here. Technology is material. We use it to work on real problems.
Self-awareness and emotional intelligence are part of the work.
You have an obligation to professional behavior.
You practice at being a researcher, a practitioner, and a professional.
The room is co-created. You have a hand in what this becomes.
You arrive as a mentee. You discover your compass heading. You leave as a mentor.
Women’s leadership is a particular focus.
What you have been told about your future was told to you by people who do not share your future.
Some systems are broken. We work inside them without becoming them.
We treat failure as information: what happened, what it teaches, what changes. Failure is part of development and part of life. Change is the norm. We absorb it and continue.
